The main difference between “semi permanent eyebrows” and “microblading” is the method of application. Semi permanent makeup uses the machine method and microblading uses a handheld device. Both methods give semi permanent makeup results and both methods can produce a variety of looks like the ombre brow as well as more natural hair stroke brows. To add a new question go to app settings and press "Manage Questions" button.
In your consultation we will go through a personal treatment plan suited to you. The colour will be chosen depending on the tone of your skin and the colour of your hair and eyes. With my assistance, suitable colours are selected and dabs of pigment are placed around the area to be treated in order to find the best match. The shape will be decided based on the shape of your face, on your personality and your preference. If I disagree with your choice, I will suggest other options. A make-up pencil is used to outline alternatives until the ideal shape is found. The template is then measured and checked for perfect symmetry and balance. The FAQ title can be adjusted in the settings tab of the App Settings. You can also remove the title by unchecking its checkbox in the settings tab.
Some clients feel no discomfort at all - others feel minimal discomfort. Topical anesthetics (e.g. creams) are used to minimize discomfort before the treatment begins. Most people will feel nothing at all, while a few feel a slight, prickly sensation, which some of my clients have compared to having their eyebrows plucked or legs waxed. Also the needles I use are so fine that trauma is at an absolute minimum and there is no bleeding. The minimal discomfort that a client may experience is definitely outweighed by the stunning results that will be achieved.
A minimum of 24 hours prior to the treatment commencing, a pigment ‘patch test’ is performed by placing a tiny amount of pigment into the skin usually in the hairline behind the ear, this is to ensure there is no allergy to the pigment. 99.9% of people do not have any reaction at all. On the day of treatment a thorough consultation will be conducted which will include an assessment of your skin colour and face shape. Suggestions may be offered regarding the enhancement of your natural beauty, and once you are happy with the colour effect chosen, a design is created to ensure you are completely happy with the shape before the procedure commences. Discussing in detail your desired outcomes will ensure the unique look created will be exactly as you desire. Essential to the procedure is the follow up or ‘top-up’ treatment carried out 4-6 weeks later enabling the fine tuning of colour density and making sure the pigments are retained uniformly.
After a procedure the area treated will look a little darker and more intense. This will last for a few days until the area exfoliates and the true colour emerges. Generally it is only you who notices the darker colour. If anesthetic is used you may swell slightly – this will go down usually by the end of the day. I suggest that if you are having an eyeliner procedure that you bring a pair of dark glasses with you (as you may look as if you’ve been crying). A little inconvenient but the long term results are well worth it.
As a Permanent make-up professional i avoid anything that is too trendy or a fashion fad. I use colours that are custom-blended to complement your skin tone, eye and hair colour to give a soft and natural appearance. However, the colour can be changed at any time by blending another colour over the original if you wish.
Facial fillers are products that are injected into the layers of skin to reduce wrinkles, add volume, and stimulate collagen production. The products can be used for anti-aging, as well as the enhancement of facial features and areas of the body. Our team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses and medical aestheticians offers many types of treatments with dermal fillers and injectables, such as: Dermal fillers under eyes for bags and dark circlesDermal fillers for acne scarsLip injectionsCheek, chin and jaw contouringWrinkle reduction.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is often injected into the facial muscles to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe lines in the forehead, between the eyebrows and crows’ feet, as well as other areas. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the first FDA-approved prescription medicine used for smoothing out dynamic wrinkles of the face.
The active ingredient in Botox injections is called onabotulinum toxin A, a natural protein that relaxes over tightened muscles, especially those that cause wrinkles. It blocks the release of a substance called acetylcholine, gradually reducing muscle activity of the injected muscles. This results in a dramatic reduction or even elimination of wrinkles around the Botox injection sites like the forehead and eyes, usually within 3 to 7 days after injection.
Are you thinking about having an aesthetic treatment, but your not sure what options are available to you? Maybe you have heard a bit about Botox and fillers, but not sure what the differences are and want a clearer understanding?
The core difference is as follows: Botox contains purified bacteria that freezes the muscles. In doing so, Botox can help minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by your facial expressions. Dermal fillers contain ingredients that add fullness to areas that have thinned due to ageing and actually plumps the skin to tackle wrinkles and lines that have already appeared on your face.
Both are minimally invasive, meaning that they are not a surgical procedure, but they do require the use of a needle.
People who are deficient in vitamin B12 are often prescribed B12 shots. This method is a very effective way of reversing or preventing a deficiency because it allows for 100% absorption directly into the tissues. These days, vitamin B12 shots have even become popular in people without the vitamin deficiency.
